Defects, Solutions, Innovation

Bringing the building and construction industry professionals for important conversations on fire safety, cladding and serious building defects.
The growing number of buildings in Australia has seen growing concerns about the quality of these developments. Building defects has been the subject of considerable discussion amongst the building professions and the media. It took the emergency evacuation of two apartment complexes in Sydney in 2018/2019 to prompt significant regulatory reform in NSW. Similarly, In December 2019, the Government appointed an Expert Panel on Building Reform to lead a comprehensive review of Victoria’s building system. Large sums continue to be spent on litigating and rectifying building defects by owners, contractors, and insurers.
Corpolinx, therefore is hosting the 4th Annual Fire Safety, Cladding & Building Defects Management Summit to continue the focus on solutions to these critical issues.Traditionally, the event focused on reforms and solutions to the ‘cladding crisis’, and while the event will continue exploring solutions to the cladding issue, we will also have a spotlight on serious building defects and weatherproofing.
Join your colleagues on the 24-25 May 2022 in Sydney, and 21-22 June in Melbourne, for the latest information on new legislation, remediation efforts, and solutions that will shift the culture towards promoting safe building outcomes in Australia.
